The calcite family, and this is a fine example of one. It is a super lustrous, twinned scalenohedral crystal with beautiful features. This stunning piece has multiple terminations, gorgeous etchings and shows multiple generations of growth. The color is a translucent, deep golden honey that gradually gets darker toward the termination points. The back corner fades from the deep golden honey to white calcite. There is an indentation / impression there, indicating that there was another crystal adjacent to the piece at one point in time. O
