On this impressive big specimen from Mahodari, a magnificent 10.00 cm bi-colored, complex, glossy, transparent "egg yolk" is artistically placed on the quartz and underlying chalcedony matrix. A portion of the "yolk" is a deep honey-brown, while the remainder is a pleasant pale yellow. When illuminated, the botryoids GLOW!
The fluorite is flawless. This 360-degree specimen has exceptional aesthetic appeal, and the observed peripheral wear is absolutely acceptable in the context of the exceptional item. Specimens of this size and good quality are only found in recycling collections. We place a high value on this and have seen specimens like these sell for thousands of dollars at big exhibitions.
