Features
This is a large, butterscotch colored ball of fluorite on a bed of light purple amethyst crystals. It was collected from the Nashik Quarry in the Maharashtra Province of India. The large fluorite ball is 3" wide and has some interesting inclusions when held up to the light.
Botryoidal minerals start as specks of sand, dust, or other particulate matter, which serve as “seeds” that form a nucleus. Fibrous crystals grow out from these “seeds,” resulting in spherical, crystal growth. As these spheres grow, they can overlap with others that are close by, fusing together to form a botryoidal cluster.
The Specimen looks Astonishing as it is in such a stunning shape and gorgeous color.
